In 1992, owners Dave and Joanne Long's search for a farm led them to discover the raising of emus. They established Longview Farms on a 169 acre farm in northeastern Pennsylvania and ran approximately 200 head of emu on this farm. Longview Farms offered emu oil products that were imported from Australia. At that time, there were no companies manufacturing Emu oil products within the U.S.

Since opening, Mrs. Long founded the Pennsylvania Emu Farmers Association, sat on the Board of Directors of Penn State Agricultural Department and was the featured speaker at various Emu industry functions throughout the U.S. Long was a long-time member of the American Emu Association, sat on their Board of Directors, and was a member of the American Oil Chemists Society, and is President of Longview Farms. David Long is President of e-Longview Farms, Inc. He sat on the Board of Directors of the American Emu Association as Director and Treasurer. He is one of the founding owners of a Molecular Distillation plant in China and has most recently assisted in the set-up of a similar plant in India. Long's professional history includes the ownership of an electrical construction company spanning over 35 years.

Longview Farms recognized the need and quickly diversified into an emu oil rendering facility. We created our original line of quality Emu oil products marketed as "ADVANCE Revelations in Longevity". Longview Farms was the first company to create and market a fully-encapsulated Emu oil gel cap as a dietary supplement.

Through the years, we continued to advance in the emu oil product industry; making great strides in research and product development. After much consideration, the Long's decided to place focus on emu oil research and product development. The company was moved to a smaller location and no longer raised Emus. Today, Longview Farms purchases emu fat from others who raise Emu as a viable livestock. The fat is processed into emu oil at our molecular distillation plant. This ensures that we know the processing of all our emu oil; providing safety and quality assurance. We are able to ship our finished emu oil products well as bulk-packed products throughout the world. We continue to market products under the "Longview Farms" brand name.
