Artist, Francisco Little says, "The cards were born in 1994, at a time when I was working though a difficult emotional period in my life. I used the colors to express my feelings and heal. It worked." The operation, which began in a small cramped backroom, eventually moved to a spacious art studio overlooking scenic False Bay in Cape Town, South Africa, where the bulk of the current card catalogue was painted. But while these greeting cards have come a long way over the years, they have retained an unmistakable quality that immediately attracts the eye. Many clients frame the cards to keep them around all the time, says Francisco. "People pick up on the energy I put into creating these cards and the end result is always immensely satisfying." FJL has also always been about making a difference to the lives of others, especially those who are disadvantaged and the company is committed to working with registered charities.
