Natural Dense Soda Ash and Sodium Bicarbonate: Soda ash can be made synthetically using limestone, salt and ammonia. Soda ash is also used as a raw material in the manufacturing of other chemicals, including sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and sodium phosphates (detergents), caustic soda (NaOH), and sodium cyanide (used in gold refining).
