The "Being Together" Social Enterprise Development Foundation is a non-governmental organization which supports socio-economic subjects, social cooperatives, social enterprises, companies predisposed to social activities and non-governmental organizations. The Foundation is running a social enterprise in Cieszyn. It carries out projects which, through work and education, support the unemployed and the socially excluded. By helping to create new workplaces, the foundation helps these people to return to the labour market. A social enterprise, set up on the foundation premises, comprises of several workshops:big and modern carpentry, laundry and dry-cleaner&＃39;s. By employment at production lines Foundation helps people who are socially excluded, marginalized and facing prejudice, the unemployed, ill and disabled, homeless, solitary, drug addicts, the poverty-stricken, refugees, and others in need of support.All profits made on the production and sale are reinvested in thesocial aims.The Being Together Social Enterprise Development Foundation was established in 2007 by the Being Together Mutual Aid Association, which runs a complex social security system in Cieszyn. In 2009, the association received the TOTUS Prize, awarded to institutions and people that contribute to emphasizing human worth. The foundation was also described in The Social Economy Atlas of Good Practices and recognised as an excellent example of an enterprise which does not only fulfil social goals but also successfully works on the market.
