  • GCB Cocoa UK welcomed Suffolk Business Board member Oliver Paul to its facilities on 21st March, where he was joined by South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge and GCB management team representatives to discuss the recently launched Suffolk Economic Strategy. Developed by the Suffolk Business Board, the strategy focuses on ambitious growth plans for key sectors, particularly agri-food, which is a key area for both international companies and tech-driven start-ups in the region. The group also toured the state-of-the-art facilities, gaining insight into the innovation behind the company’s growth. ” GCB continue to grow the business, reflecting the increasing demand for our products and services: Employee Growth & Open Positions We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to join us. Current job openings can be found at Factory Expansion & Increased Output As part of our ambitious expansion plans, we are set to triple our factory output compared to last year. This increase will enhance our capacity to meet the evolving needs of our customers while maintaining the highest quality standards. * 🌍 Addressing big societal issues like gender inequality through corporate social media can sometimes feel superficial. While the development of comprehensive strategies is essential, a social media post isn't always the best platform to explore these complexities. But maybe there’s another way. Instead of trying to reflect the complexity of the issue as a whole in a few lines, how about we take this chance to zoom in and focus on one single study? Let’s learn together and highlight the scientific research that we, as cocoa and chocolate manufacturers, and the sustainability initiatives we participate in, refer to for identifying issues and developing strategies. 📚 Today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we present you some findings from a recent study on “Gender Inequality in the Cocoa Supply Chain: Evidence from Smallholder Production in Ecuador and Uganda” (by Kuhn, Tennhardt, Lazzarini – 2023), which you can read in full at this link: The study examined two cocoa supply chains using sex-disaggregated survey data from producing communities in Ecuador and Uganda that supply the Swiss market, highlighting the following results: 1. 2. This revenue gap is largely explained by structural inequalities such as poorer access to productive resources. ⚖️ Structural Inequalities: • 🚧 Women face significant barriers, including limited access to education, agricultural training, productive resources (like land and inputs), and formal financial services. 🌱 Impact of Gender Equality: • 🍽️ Achieving gender equality can result in better food and nutrition security and more resilient and just food systems. 📝 Recommendations for Gender Equality: • 🎓 Offering gender-specific training within private programs and promoting women's access to credit by the public sector are crucial steps towards gender equality. Let's continue to support and empower women, ensuring a sustainable and equitable future for all. * Note to self: Add "FESTIVE SNAKE" to the list of things you can make with GCB cocoa powder (with a little help from AI!). 🐍 Should this be our new office mascot for 2025? 🏮 Wishing everyone a prosperous 2025 filled with strength, unity, and success. From all of us at GCB Cocoa, have a joyous and healthy Lunar New Year! 🧧🌟 Gong Xi Fa Cai! 恭喜发财! 🍊🎉

Business Overview

Avg Response Time

≤ 1h

GUAN CHONG COCOA MANUFACTURE SDN.BHD offers a full range of cocoa products from raw beans to finished forms like cocoa powder and milk powder, which is valuable for buyers needing multiple cocoa-based ingredients in one supplier. The absence of verified work email, phone, and business documents raises a red flag — these are critical for confirming legitimacy and enabling secure communication before placing large orders. Without a verified account email or documentation, buyers may face delays or risks in verifying the company’s real identity and operational stability. This lack of verification is common in new or small trade businesses, especially in emerging markets, so buyers should request additional proof before committing to any purchase.
