We are a small jewelry design firm with studios in California & Hawaii. We design one-of-a-kind and limited-edition fine jewelry, using ONLY natural colored gemstones, set in solid 18k gold or platinum. We are seeking reliable wholesale, low-cost sources of loose, natural colored gemstones, both cut/faceted and cabochons. Our requirements: AAA to AA color IF to SI clarity (depending on gem species) Minimum size for faceted gems: 10 mm (cabochon stones may be smaller) Well-cut & polished gems without windows, without shallow pavillions. We are interested in ALL types of natural loose gems, usually in single free-size or matched pairs. Esp. interested in rare & unusual natural gemstones. Sphene, andesine feldspar, translucent/transparent rhodocrosite & rhodonite, sugilite, spinel, sappire, star sapphire, ruby, star ruby, spessartine garnet, fire opal, boulder opal, kunzite, hiddenite, tsavorite garnet, tanzanite, bytownite, morganite, emerald, amethyst, rutilated quartz, hessonite garnet, rhodolite garnet, bi-color tourmaline, pink tourmaline, chrome green tourmaline, rubellite tourmaline, almandite garnet, blue moonstone, chalcedony, chrysoprase, gel silica, drusy, mabe pearl, natural zircon, alexandrite, to name but a few - we are interested in ALL KINDS of NATURAL gemstones in a variety of cuts and shapes - esp. cushion cuts and trillions.
