HOMESTEAD WOOD INDUSTRIES SDN BHD (HSW), previously known as Hawah Motor Sdn Bhd, is a furniture manufacturer and supplier. The change of name was made to keep in line with the commercialisation of business; to better fit in the industry. HSW was established by Abdul Karim Bin Mohamad Nasir who was holding 80% of the company&＃39;s shares and Abdul Kadir Bin Hussin who was holding the other 20%. With a capital of RM 500,000.00 and a paid-up capital of RM 100,000.00, HSW was established in 1989 but only started its operation on 1st March 1995. On 27th September 1997, Abdul karim B. Mohamad Nasir sold his shares to Abdul Kadir B. Hussin so as he can fully concentrate on his soap manufacturing company, Nazifah Homestead Sdn Bhd, formed 15 years ago.On 26th September 1997, Rosmawati Bt Daud was appointed to replace Abdul Karim B Mohamad Nasir. She holds 11% of the company&＃39;s shares. After running the business for over 14 years, HSW purchased a new factory of larger size with a thought to expand the business, forming a wider network. HSW is also working on being ISO9001- 2000 certified, ensuring that its operation and management are of excellent standard.The capital has now been increased to RM 1,000,000.00 and the paid-up capital is RM 1,000,000.00.
