Thank you for choosing Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN)! Here are some helpful tips to ensure a smooth travel experience:

HVN is hosting an on-site TSA PreCheck® enrollment event from July 15–18, 2025. Enrolled travelers enjoy expedited screening and access to dedicated TSA lanes at over 200 airports nationwide.

Apply online and book your appointment in advance for faster on-site processing.

HVN has updated traffic patterns to make your journey smoother than ever — including a new second exit and one-way route for all Arrivals and Lot C traffic.

• Continue straight and follow the new one-way route to the second airport exit or Lot C.

Visit for the latest parking availability and overflow options. Parking is limited during peak travel periods and it is recommended that you book in advance.

Lyft is the only rideshare provider at HVN. Plan ahead by downloading, or explore other options, including M7 Taxi and CT Transit.

Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need a state-issued REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card, or another acceptable form of ID (such as a passport), to fly within the United States.

Parking is limited during peak travel periods, and it is recommended that you book in advance to secure your spot. Visit for the latest availability and overflow options. Please note that Lyft is the only rideshare provider at HVN.

We recommend arriving early to allow enough time for parking, check-in and security.

If you're only bringing a carry-on bag, you can head straight to the security checkpoint.

If you're checking a bag, please stop by the ticketing counter first.

Checked bags must be tagged 45 minutes before the departure*

For flights departing before 9 AM, the ticket counter opens three (3) hours prior to departure. For flights departing after 9 AM, the ticket counter opens two (2) hours prior to departure.

*All ticketing counters are located in a modular building to the left of Departures entrance. After you check in, proceed with your tagged bags to the security checkpoint for drop-off.

Take advantage of this time to check in, drop off your bags, or ask any questions you may have. Flights begin boarding 35 minutes prior to departure. Boarding closes 15 minutes prior to departure.
