Jute Crafts Institute is one of the largest jute market development projects in the world. Since its inception in 2010, Jute Crafts Institute has achieved significant employment and income impact by increasing the competitiveness of jute entrepreneurs, small and medium sized enterprises in selected local, urban and rural sectors in Bangladesh.Jute Crafts Institute follows a job creation & SME development approach in promoting economic growth. It focuses on jute & handicrafts sectors with high outreach to the young entrepreneur, high growth potential and good opportunities to include the entrepreneur better in the socio-economic systems of the selected sectors. Jute Crafts Institute partners with a wide range of private enterprises and the government in order to bring about systemic changes, leverage our resources, maximize impact and ensure sustainability.It has different classes of membership: Lifetime, General, Associated, Corporate and Youth Group. Jute Crafts Institute is run by a organizational structure (Click here for details) representing all classes of membership. A President, an Executive Vice-President and a Auditor in Chief are elected by the Board for a term of one year. The President is the Chief Executive of the Institute. The Board Members are assisted by a number of Standing Committees on various important Jute-Business related subjects and by a full-fledged Secretariat.
