KAPPA opto-electronics, Inc. has released the DX 4 and DX 40 CCD cameras for applications such as measurement engineering, process automation and scientific diagnostics. The cameras, available in black/white and color versions feature a 2/3-in., 1384 x 1032 pixel CCD sensor, a 61 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 12 bit signal processing and frame rates of 15 fps. Camera Link interface is standard. The devices are fitted into 60x60x47 mm housings with a C-mount lens to ease integration into exisiting systems. The cameras feature an external trigger, 2x4x and 8x binning, a reset/restart function and gamma correction.
