The website was started in 1997 by pro shop owner Keith Spear, who at the time had already been in the pro shop business since 1980. He was also the player services representative and lane maintenance supervisor for the Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour for 7 years. Today bowlingball.com has grown into a thriving business that now employees over 25 people and is currently located in a 35,000 square foot facility in Daytona Beach, Florida.
