UKEF is an important element of the Government’s toolkit in the region – providing long-term financing for high-quality, climate-resilient infrastructure. And in Jamaica, I met with many of our key government partners – including Minister of Finance and Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange – working together on several pipeline projects following on from the Framework for Cooperation signed between UKEF and the Jamaican Government in 2024. * A stunning photo of New Build Number 6 - the latest in the worldclass Aurora series of RoRo ships designed by global car carrier As Liner Agents in Barbados, St Vincent and The Grenadins and Guyana we are excited to see these new vessels progressing and very proud to represent a leading RoRo carrier Five of the most crucial days in a vessel’s life The moment of truth—where months of hard work are put to the test. A sea trial is more than just a routine check; it’s a decisive phase for the vessel, the crew, and everyone involved in its construction. Every system, every function, every detail is tested to ensure it performs as expected. This time, the test took place in the open sea east of Shanghai. And once again, success! New build number 6 has officially passed her sea trial and will soon be ready for the next chapter: commercial operations. This is a significant milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations to the entire team onboard and everyone who contributed to this achievement. With another Aurora Class vessel soon entering service, we continue to push the boundaries—operating the world’s largest and most environmentally friendly PCTCs ever built. 🚢✨

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Sailing Association boats are on Board and on their way. Well done once again to all the volunteers and donations that have made this possible. This second shipment is really momentous because it makes a significant step forward by providing the much needed additional sailing equipment to really make their vision a reality. Claudia Baba from our Stansted office was on hand to make sure that the last few steps in loading this cargo all went to plan. Claudia has managed this job all the way through and her enthusiasm and hard work is a perfect match to that of Jenny Trumble and her Vincy team. We have supported Jenny in St Vincent for many years and now with support from World Sailing and Olympic Solidarity, the SVGSA has developed a roadmap to establish this much needed and very exciting high-performance sailing center. Rather than a Rags to Riches tale, this is a story of from Abandoned to Ambition. Congratulations to Jenny and all of those involved in this success story
