KCDL was incorporated in 2015 following the merger of the former KCMCL and KCCS and was formally established as a State-owned Enterprise and is mandated under the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2013 (as amended).

1.  Products and Services

• Crude Coconut Oil,

Crude Coconut Oil (CNO) is the unrefined oil extracted from dried coconut kernels, commonly known as copra. Unlike virgin coconut oil, which is extracted from fresh coconut meat, crude coconut oil is processed through mechanical or chemical means, such as pressing and expelling, followed by minimal filtration to remove impurities.

• Virgin Coconut Oil, 

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a natural oil extracted from fresh coconut meat or milk without the use of high heat or chemical processes. It is known for its pure, unrefined, and natural form, retaining a delicate coconut aroma and flavor. Unlike refined coconut oil, VCO preserves most of the nutrients, antioxidants, and bioactive compounds present in coconuts.

• K1 Soap,

K1 Soap is a versatile and locally produced soap commonly made in Kiribati and other Pacific Island countries. It is typically crafted from natural ingredients such as coconut oil, which is abundant in the region. The soap is known for its simplicity, affordability, and effectiveness, making it a staple product for households and communities.

• Cooking Oil,

Coconut cooking oil is a versatile and widely used edible oil derived from the kernel or meat of mature coconuts. It is prized for its distinct flavor, high smoke point, and nutritional benefits, making it suitable for cooking, frying, and baking. Coconut oil is available in two primary forms: virgin coconut oil, which is minimally processed to retain its natural flavor and nutrients, and refined coconut oil, which undergoes further processing to remove impurities and odor.

• Bwaabwaruaki Perfume Oil,

Baabaruaki Perfume Oil is a unique, locally crafted fragrance that represents the cultural richness and natural resources of Kiribati. This perfume oil is derived from traditional processes, utilizing native ingredients such as coconut oil and naturally sourced aromatic elements, ensuring a product that is both sustainable and environmentally friendly.

• Raw Copra 

Raw copra is the dried meat or kernel of coconuts, typically harvested from mature coconuts that have fallen from the tree or are harvested manually. It is an essential raw material in the coconut industry, primarily used to extract coconut oil. The process of producing copra involves removing the husk of the coconut, cutting the inner nut into smaller pieces, and drying the flesh, either by sun-drying or using artificial dryers.

• Poultry Feed

Poultry feed is a specialized feed formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of chicken. It is designed to promote healthy growth, improve egg production, and maintain overall poultry health. High-quality poultry feed typically contains a balanced mix of grains, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and copra meal. It plays a critical role in commercial poultry farming, ensuring maximum productivity and sustainable operations.

• Piggery Feed

Coconut Piggery Feed is a value-added product derived from coconut by-products, primarily copra meal, which is a high-protein, nutrient-rich feed source for pigs. This feed is designed to improve the growth and health of pigs while providing a sustainable and cost-effective option for farmers.
