Lactalis South Africa (LSA) was registered in South Africa in 2020. Although the name change from Parmalat SA only came into effect on 1 February 2020, the company under its previous name had been part of the Lactalis Group since 2011. LSA’s roots in South Africa and in France date back to the early 1900s. The company is home to quality and trusted brands such as Melrose, Président, Parmalat and Steri Stumpie, as well as Bonnita, PureJoy, Galbani, and Aylesbury. Our product range includes everything from cheese, longlife milk and flavoured milk, to ice cream, cream, maas, yoghurt, butter and fruit juice. * WELCOMING CREMORA TO LACTALIS SA | This week, we officially welcomed the iconic Cremora to Lactalis SA following the approval of the acquisition by the Competition Commission. The acquisition includes Cremora manufacturing facilities in Babelegi (Gauteng) and Potchefstroom (North West) and employees. The leadership team of Zone LAOA led by Zone GM, Alban Damour and Lactalis SA’s leadership team, led by LSA GM, Herman Janse Van Rensburg attended the event to celebrate this next chapter together. We look forward to an amazing journey ahead as we continue to build on Cremora’s rich heritage together. * A WARM WELCOME TO OUR 2025 INTERNS! We welcomed our 2025 intake of interns for induction at our Head Office this week. The buzz and excitement in the building is palpable as they embark on a 12-month journey to discover their dairy story with us. Over the first two days, they learnt who we are as a company - globally and locally and some of our colleagues shared their career journeys at Lactalis SA. Day two was followed by a visit to our cheese factory in Bonnievale in the Western Cape where the new interns could get first-hand experience about the hard work and passion that go into manufacturing our products. * CELEBS COOK UP A STORM WITH LACTALIS PRODUCTS Lactalis Food Services has concluded the first in a series of Celebrity Cook-offs planned for the Western Cape and Gauteng. The first cook-off was held at the V&A Waterfront where chefs Nicholas Fraser and chef Kevin Grobler, helped celebrities Soli Philander, Euodia Samson, and Keeno Lee Hector cook up a storm with our Président, Parmalat, Steri Stumpie, and PureJoy products. With the spotlight on innovation and collaboration, the team shared ideas to take the company to the next level of success. The insights shared by the executive team have paved the way for what promises to be a successful year. The two days were packed with reflections, recognising outstanding performance in 2024, having robust discussions and sharing ideas that will take the company to the next level.
