1. Brief Discription of the company’s history

MARTZ is in its start-up of operation for three years. The manager of the company, Ato Tsedeke Markos grown up from birth in a family whose business is coffee producing, coffee supplying and coffee exporting for as long as he remembers. As part of the family he has been in charge of performing various tasks all related to coffee business. The family business flourished through years and got its present name from one of its pioneers and named MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co. in 2016. 

MARTZ Trading PLC is a family owned business. The founder and manager of the company, Ato Tsedeke Markos has been working in various capacities in his other family owned coffee supplying company “Markos Anshebo Coffee Supplier” and Coffee Exporting Company “Ersade Trading PLC” for the last 20 years. His vast experience together with his enthusiastic attitude towards coffee trade makes him a valuable asset to the company.

MARTZ is built on a dynamic business model, which is very agile to accommodate the ever-changing requirements of customers as well as the rapid policy and operation changes in Ethiopia. The company is always looking for production efficiency, cost control and integrated supply-chain management systems in order to minimize the cost of exported coffee maintaining the same quality.

1. Objectives of the Company

The objectives of MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co.: 

• - Increase production and sales steadily,
• - Increase our credibility in the market and build our brand,
• - Establish strategic relationships with few but strong potential    
•   coffee buyers,
• - Bringing much needed foreign currency to our country,
• - Building our own coffee cleaning facility in Addis Ababa.

1. Management Summary

MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co. management consists of four full-time employees. Additional assistance is acquired on a part-time basis and/or through the use of consultants, specifically in legal matters and coffee quality testing or cupping. Detailed descriptions are found in the following section.

1. 1.  Management Team

MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co. is organized into three functional areas: product sourcing, sales, and marketing; production and shipping; and finance and administration. 

Tsedeke Markos: Manager in charge of all the company’s operation and administration. Tsedeke, 42 has worked in the coffee export business for 6 years. Before starting MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co. he was representative of Ersade trading plc, coffee exporting company as general manager. He established different types of businesses for the family like transport company, fuel stations, three star hotel under construction at southern part of Ethiopia, etc. He began working for his family after he finished a business administration diploma at the Ethiopian Adventist College. The current MARTZ Trading Pvt. Ltd. Co. is owned by Tsedeke Markos and his wife W/o Zinashwork Heramo. 

Ato Adamu kirubel: is in charge of finance. Ato Adamu Kirubel , 38 completed his accounting degree from Addis Ababa University and worked for several years in different companies. 

There are also different workers with different expertise under the above management team like: - coffee cupping expert, secretary, part time lawyer, warehouse works who are in charge of coffee preparation and cleaning, loading and unloading.

The type and grade of coffee is highly diverse in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the producer for the several renowned varieties of coffee listed below. In addition to the most common varieties of coffee, there are several others that Ethiopia produces. MARTZ is equipped to export any and all types of the following varieties.
