Morning Star Turquoise Velvet Cactus

Hello and welcome! My name is Joseph Carruthers. Morning Star Turquoise Co. is owned and operated by myself. Established in 2006, Morning Stars parent company(Velvet Cactus) was established in 1990. I hand mine the turquoise and variscite from three different properties as well as processing, grading, cutting, silver work, and handmade necklaces by myself. I offer a variety of one of a kind, hard to find cut stones and gems. Mostly for the serious collector and artistan. I also do oil & acrylic paintings as well as mixed medium pieces.The turquoise/variscite mines produce the following gems.1. The Morning Star Mine produces both turquoise and faustite. The mine is located in the Carico Lake mining district. Faustite being much rarer than turquoise and creates beautiful apple green colors with red brown webbing and also sometimes has both blue and green in the same stone. Rare 2. The Mountain Top property produces turquoise from blues to greens somewhat similar to Cerrillos turq. Greens being the dominate color thus far. The mine is located in the Carico Lake mining district and is a seasonal mine due to location and elevation.3. The Valley View property produces variscite with contrasting brown and black matrix. Supply is very limited and available as cabochons and collection pieces. Another rarity.All materials are NATURAL and are not treated with any lab processes. Natural turquoise/variscite is a rarity on the market and is becoming even more so. An investment that only increases in value. Especially from mines with limited production.
