In 1984, NOVA Drilling Technologies, Inc. expanded its business to include fabrication, modification and refurbishment of oilfield drilling and workover equipment, design of auxiliary systems and components, and rig-up and testing of complete rigs. We offer in-house engineering and computer-aided drafting systems to customers in need of such services, and as an on-site extension of the customers engineering staff. Our plant in Houston, Texas has a 12, 000 square foot manufacturing facility, and sits on a 3 1/2 acre hard-surfaced rig-up yard. It includes all the tools and equipment needed to assemble and test any size drilling or workover rig. We have designed and fabricated complete mud systems, pump and transport skids, environmental units, and other rig components for mechanical, SCR, trailer-mounted and helicopter transportable rigs. To support industry in their quest to manufacture complex designs and shapes, Petro-Equipment has installed an integrated manufacturing system that competes with the best. Our state-of-the-art facility bridges the gap between design and manufacturing by considering the machining process during the design phase. Using a Computer-aided design (CAD), the design process can be streamlined and accurately coordinated. Using an integrated system for the manufacture of components has been shown to improve not only throughput but also part accuracy, shorten the design time and enhance our competitive edge in this tolerance-critical cost-sensitive world. Build - Based on the strategic nature of a specific equipment solution we build and integrate the appropriate component based modules into the solution.
