Our manufacturer of dried onions is owned by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense and is located in one of the most fertile agricultural sites in Egypt. The manufacturer grows his own onions and then processes them in a modern sophisticated manner. This is a new factory with machines less than a year old. The plant uses modern, advanced and fully automated PLC Siemens computer systems. The plant has a capacity to produce 20, 000 ton per year.In Egypt this manufacturer delivers the highest quality dried onions. The microbiological test gave the best results in Egypt. Before the drying process start the onions are put in a sulphite solution to avoid oxidation of the onions during the drying process. Thereafter the onions are steam-blanched to prevent any flavor or color changing as a result of enzymatic reactions. During drying, the moisture is reduced to 6%, this happens in an efficient manner so the dried onions have a good water absorption capacity. All end products have grade A because of the young age of all the plant machinery. Our manufacturer supplies the dried onion kibbled, powder and rings. The package consists of a multiple paper bag with polyethylene intermediate layer. The bags are available in 5kg and 10kg.
