PT INDOPICRI was established in August 1984 when paper industry in Indonesia was embarking into a modern era. Backed with 15 employees, we commenced our fortified rosin size production with installed capacity of 250 tons/month in a 600 sqm leased industrial building in Surabaya, second largest city in Indonesia.Having cost advantage in local and abundant supply of raw material, gum rosin, Indonesia is the world second largest gum rosin producer, our product with brand name FROSIN soon was widely used and replacing import products. As the paper industry continued to grow remarkably, we felt our production capacity could not accommodate the strong demand. In 1989, we decided to invest a 20,000 sqm piece of land in an industrial district, Driyorejo which is 25km to the west of Surabaya for our expansion in manufacturing paper chemicals. Our new location is strategically situated as within the radius of 50 km we are surrounded by 6 paper mills of which total production capacity is more than 2 millions tons/year. In September 1990, we started our production in our new factory with capacity of 750 tons/month and 50 employees.Now we supply our FROSIN to more than 25 local paper mills and export to Vietnam, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sultanate of Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and Qatar.
