Red Beacon Ltd was founded as a resource centre to assist Asian enterprises, especially those in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore which are looking to enter or penetrate the markets in Europe but do not have the experience or knowledge to set up their supply chains here. On top of the lack of local market knowledge and knowledge of local regulations, there is frequently a lack of understanding for the local cultures, work ethics and habits, made worse by not speaking the local languages or having poor communication.Jinder Hug-Wong, the founder of Red Beacon Ltd, has had 10 years of supply chain experience, out of which 5 years has been in Europe. She has first-hand experience previously at an international logistics firm, of managing Asian accounts venturing into Europe and assisting them in formulating supply chain strategy as well as managing their day-to-day operations (related to the specific logistics provider she worked for) from a logistics perspective. Her fluency in Chinese, Cantonese, English and Dutch also helped her in being the "middleman", helping smooth communications between her Asian customers and her European colleagues, making implementations more efficient and requirements and expectations clearly understood from both sides.
