Richmond Sports Association

Richmond Sports Association was founded by a group of concerned citizens of Wayne County in Richmond, Indiana, to provide a safe haven for children in our community. We want to reach children mainly from the ages of four - twelve years old. We will provide a sports facility, and playground that will allow children to play free of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sexual predators, gangs, bullies, and rude and obnoxious fans. We will equip professionally minded brandedes, officials, and volunteers to oversee the children as they participate in our program. We will not degrade nor discriminate against children because of their color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, nor their financial status. We will not deter children with physical or mental deficiencies from playing unless there is concern of bodily injury to themselves or others. We will teach children to participate in sports, not just because they are great athletes, but because they need to exercise, socialize, and most of all have fun. We will teach children how to develop friendships, gamesmanship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and learn the fundamentals of sportsWe will strive to provide information or services to parents of children in our organization in need of financial assistance or counseling. The HITS and KICKS Program is not just about sports, it is about building a better community. We will not only equip these young children to become leaders TOMORROW, will we teach them to become leaders TODAY!
