SWABS TAPES INDIA PVT. LTD. is established in April 1990, and is promoted by the owners of Messes Swabs India, a proprietor firm. The entire business of Swabs India is being taken over by the company.Swabs India was established in 1990 with an aim to cater to the manufacturers of power, telecommunication and control cables and the manufacturers of accessories thereof. It is a family owned firm and are manufacturing components for cable jointing kits, self bonding insulation tapes, etc in 1996, we developed co polymer coated steel armor tapes, used in the manufacturing of corrugated steel armor OF cables. One more feather was added into the cap of the firm in the year 2000, when we successfully developed water blocking tapes.The firm has a manufacturing facility located at Vasai, about 50 km from Mumbai (Bombay) and is employing 25 workers. The steel armor tapes were developed in 1996 by Swabs India. These products are approved by the department of telecommunications (BSNL) and RDSO, the design department of Indian railways. Recently the company has established a new manufacturing facility at Silvassa, UT, about 200 km from Mumbai as a part of expansion. The manufacturing capacity as regards to steel armour tapes is 100 MT per month and about 1.5 million sq. meters of water blocking tapes.
