Since Global was established in 1952, it has been one of Korea's leading storage batterymanufactures. Today, Global produces over 14 million storage batteries for use in automobiles and various industries, as well as valve regulated lead acid batteries (Hereafter VRLA batteries)Technologies accumulated over the past 50 years within Global and the most advanced technologies from Yuasa have been successfully integrated into Global products to earn world wide respect. Over 40% of the local market share now belongs to Global, with over 10 million units being exported to countries around the world. Global Central Institute of Battery Technology in its Changwon factory is conducting research in fields such as load leveling for electric power plants, solar electric power systems, and motive power systems for electric cars.
