SHAHNAMEH Originated from the book by Ferdowsi entailing the epics of Kings and Queen. Title used to give a pictorial concept of Persian and Mughal era through carpets. Carpets being a symbol of art work encrypted with wool and human hands and luxury originated from Egypt which travelled to Turkey, Iran and India. The then emperors used to have their living areas furnished with carpets. The idea was put into operation in late 1970s; to set-up a name in the carpet industry of Pakistan and export, the major export for the cottage industry of Pakistan. The product is still hand-made woven with the quality wool and silk. Export swells to Europe, Middle East and Far East. With the passage of time; nearly four decades, the industry performed well and is now struggling. The primary reason is the higher price for the delicate human skill and the conventional products taking over its presence in the market. Masses prefer relatively cheaper products over carpets; floor and walls. Carpets does add great value to your home furnishing as it gives a traditional look which is from our religious art work and as luxurious look to your home or office. Considering the falling trend in carpets furnishing, the inclusion of young blood into business with a bright idea to re-generate the missing trend and look of the prestigious product which ensures our tradition and culture stays intact even though many advanced products are available. The idea has been re-engineered with a different approach and is simply focused to enhance the image of the product which masses are unaware of. The product which adds great value to people living abroad and being attracted by the product but unfortunately the origin of the product is not met with the same approach.
