Shanghai Bluestar POM Co., Ltd.

Affiliated to National Bluestar (Group) Corporation of China Chemical Industry Group, Shanghai Bluestar New Chemical Materials Factory is a central state-owned enterprise situated in Shanghai. Located at No. 395 of Minle Road in the Xinghuo Development Zone in Fengxian District of Shanghai Municipality, our factory covers an area of 175 thousand square meters for its 1st phase construction. We now have 300 staff members in total. 70% of them are with BA or above degrees and 30% are with medium or senior professional titles.

The predecessor of Shanghai Bluestar New Chemical Materials Factory is Shanghai Solvent Factory. With more than 30 years of arduous work, Shanghai Solvent Factory successfully developed China's largest POM pilot unit with independent IPR in 1998, filling the blanket of POM products in domestic market. Shanghai Bluestar New Chemical Materials Factory also developed 40,000 t/a POM scale unit successfully by absorbing its independent IPR and introducing part of production technologies and key equipment from abroad.

The primary business of Shanghai Bluestar New Chemical Materials Factory includes POM production, research and development of fine chemicals, sale of POM products and other related chemicals and various trade business. At present, we are engaged in the 1st phase construction of 40,000 t/a POM project. We plan to build into the largest POM production base on a global scale by expanding production capacity to 200,000 t/a in the next 3 to 5 years. We also aim to become the flagship in China's POM industry by building key POM laboratories at national level.
