Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co., Ltd

The predecessor of Shanghai  Heavy Machinery Plant  is Shanghai DaXinMachinery Plant established in 1934. In 1958, at this site inMinhang, a new plant was built and was named officially as Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant in 1962. SHMP became a member of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. in 2004 when system reform was carried out and Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co. Ltd was established then. SHMP is one of the main and large enterprises in machinery industries in China, the biggest heavy machinery manufacturer and forging & casting center in the Southeast of China. SHMP is located in the southwest of Shanghai and faces the HuangPuRiver. SHMP covers 960,000 m2  in total area, and its building area is 430,000 m2. Total employees of SHMP now is around 3,200 including 660 technical personnel in various specialty. Our company owns  its special port and railways through the whole plant. Transportation is very convenient . After many years of base construction and facilities reconstruction, SHMP became a modern large enterprise with complete management organization, strong technical power, sufficient manufacturing facilities so as to design independently and manufacture large size ofequipmentsfor power station, metallurgy , forging and mining machinery and  high quality heavy castings and forgings as well .
