Business Overview

Avg Response Time

≤ 1h

Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS) has been in business since 1984, giving it decades of experience in high-end ceramics and crystal production. As a research institution, it likely produces technically advanced or specialty products that are not common in standard commercial supply chains. The lack of verification on work email, phone, and documents raises a red flag — buyers should verify the company's legitimacy through official channels before placing large orders. While based in China, its academic affiliation suggests it may not operate like a typical commercial supplier, with limited focus on direct export sales or customer service. Buyers should expect technical expertise but may face challenges in getting timely responses or clear pricing. Without verified contact details, it's difficult to assess responsiveness or reliability in international trade. This combination of long-standing academic roots and unverified credentials makes it a high-risk supplier for new buyers unless additional proof is provided.
