Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute (SICERI) was founded in August 1958, and headquarter in Shanghai with Nanjing base. It has 1215 technicians including 34 professor-level senior engineers and 95 senior engineers. In addition, it offers a cooperative education program for master’s degree and a post-doctoral mobile station. SICERI consists of two functional parts including vehicle part and powertrain part. Guided by the developing strategy of commercial vehicles business, vehicle part will establish a new technical system with the abilities of self-governing and competitiveness and form advanced research ability of commercial vehicles in China. Powertrain part will focus on the development of diesel engines and especially pay attention to accumulate the experience of the development of EⅢand EⅣ to improve the technology of key parts producing and realize the ability of independent developing.
