Sichuan Alkena Textiles Co. Ltd., a Sino-Switzerland-Germany joint venture established in 1996 and located in Chengdu known as the hometown of panda, is mainly engaged in mulberry plantation, silkworm breeding, production and export of organic raw silk and various sorts of natural garments.Since the establishment of our corporation, we have been persisting in the aim to Purify the World and Return to the Nature during the process of production, which makes our products gain high reputation in the international market. To support our production with reliable organic silk materials, we have developed 2 biodynamic sericulture farms since 1998, which consist of 160 ha of mulberry fields and 87 ha of ecological forests. The total output of organic raw silk yarn has come up to 7,500 KG in 2004, and there is still possibility to increase the yield in years to come.All our garments are made of natural fiber absolutely without any chemicals. The dyestuff we used minimizes the influence upon the environment and the harm to human body. Without either AZO, heavy metal ion or AOX, our dyestuff is a type of reactive one that is especially suitable for silk  dyeing.At present, we are equipped with 120 sewing machines, 250 flat-knitting machines and 4 computer-controlled flat-knitting machines. The annual output amounts to 500,000 PCS of round knitted and tatted garments, 300,000 PCS of flat knitted, computer jacquard and hand crocheted sweaters.Our products are exported overseas, mainly to Germany, Switzerland, Canada and Japan. The annual export amounts to about USD 6,000,000. Eight years? hard work has enabled us to be one of the leading companies producing organic textiles in China, and the only one capable of producing organic silk over the world.
