Sichuan Changhong Battery Co., Ltd, which former is National Factory No.756 originally established in 1971, is a whole-owned subsidiary company of Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd. The company is mainly specialized in R&D, manufacture and sale of pocket type Nickel-Cadmium rechargeable battery, sintered plate Ni-Cd battery, Nickel Iron rechargeable battery, High-Power Lithium-ion battery, , Nickel-Metal Hydride battery, Silver Zinc battery, vanadium flow storage battery (VFB), industrial power-supply system and renewable energy application solution. After more than 40 years of development, the company has grown from a battery manufacturer to system integrator and application solution provider gradually. In order to improve productivity and expand industrial structure, Sichuan Changhong Battery Co., Ltd, has planned to overall invest 132million U.S. dollars to set up a new modern factory located in Changhong New industrial Park, Economic Development Zone, Mianyang City. By the end of 2012, the company had invested 66million U.S. dollars to introduce the advance production lines and technology from abroad, and complete the first-stage factory construction. The new factory occupied the area of 260,000 square meters and has more than 800 employees, of which more than 200 hundred senior and mid-level engineers specialized in chemical power source and power management systems. So far, the annual output of the new factory can be up to 250 million Ampere-hour of battery and 10000 sets of power-supply system. The sales revenue is estimated to increase by 66million U.S. dollars.
