The Company has striven to excel in the manufacturing of polypropylene tufted wall-to-wall carpets, using the latest technology and equipment. The Company began its� operations modestly with the best yarn extrusion plant bought from Neumag, Germany, with a production capacity of 250 MT per month, three tufting machines from Chattanooga, USA and a high quality finishing plant for applying secondary backing from Babcock, USA, capable of finishing 1.2 million SQM of carpets per month. A leader in the industry today, Standard Carpets has been rapidly expanding its� manufacturing activities. In 2001 two new high-speed tufting machines from Cobble were added, giving the company the capability of producing cut pile graphics and heat set saxonies. A state of art shearing machine from Sellars was also added to give the saxonies a perfect finish. In 2003 another two tufting machines from Tuftco USA, were added, one of them being a full computer controlled servo scroll machine, which produces non-geometrical and attractive designs. 2004 saw Standard adding an astro turf machine to produce artificial turf to meet the requirement of various sports applications and recreation related needs and a top of the line servo scroll cut � loop /structured cut pile machine. In the year 2005 company has added a Power Heat Set plant & cabling plant from Walkman � Germany. A new Neumag yarn extrusion plant with a capacity of 10 ton per day capable of extruding PP as well as Nylon yarn has been added.
