Business Description
Sturges is a custom engineered webbing and strap assembly manufacturer registered to ISO 9001:2008. Our strengths are weaving technical webbings from fibers such as Nomex, Kevlar, Dyneema, and Vectran and fabricating sewn strap assemblies to specification. Our expertise is developing textile solutions using webbing and sewing straps to satisfy our customer's problem they bring to us for further enhancement. Some solutions we have developed for our customers are controlled elongation, weight reduction and flexibility, and impact force reduction.
Fibers we weave are: Kevlar Polyester Nomex Nylon Dyneema Polypropylene Vectran Cotton
Using the fibers referenced above we provide bulk webbing and finished strap assemblies to the following segments: Fall Protection Military Firefighting Recreational Automotive Industrial
We make over 1,200 different products and have an extensive test facility allowing us to test to various international and government standards. The testing facility includes tensile testing up to 35,000 lbs, dynamic testing capable of a 15 foot drop distance, heat and flame testing, as well as environmental conditioning.
