Tư Bông is the name of my father and also the name of his boat-building workshop since the 1980s. In addition, rice harvests are the main season, and bananas are a common fruit in our household.
In Tết 2013, my mother still made banana jam as usual, but this year with a slight modification for convenience. My siblings carefully packaged it as a gift, receiving high praise from recipients.
On April 4, 2013, we established Tư Bông Manufacturing, with Tư Bông's children and local women as the first employees.
From family traditions and local produce, we created the specialty of Puffed Banana Jam. Our first products were handmade in our family kitchen, beautifully packaged, and promoted widely from South to North.
We can say that the puffed banana has largely alleviated the inconveniences of caramelized banana jam, while the jam has enhanced the versatility of the puffed banana beyond just being grilled and eaten directly.
Maximizing the natural sweetness of ripe bananas, Puffed Banana Jam is less sweet and is also called Puffed Banana Cake.
