Vela Global Group

Most seafood trading companies operate from major ports like Singapore or China with strong documentation and verified contact details. Vela Global Group is based in Indonesia, specifically near Port Panjang — a key gateway for regional seafood exports — giving them access to fresh catch from nearby waters. Their focus on frozen shrimp and prawns aligns with global demand for ready-to-cook seafood, especially in Asia and Europe. While they offer CIF terms, which means the buyer pays for shipping and insurance, this can increase cost for importers. The lack of verified work email and document verification raises a red flag — buyers should request additional proof before placing large orders. As an agent and trading company, they may not handle production or packing, so buyers must confirm whether they source directly from farms or third parties. This setup can create supply chain risks if the sourcing chain isn't transparent. Buyers should verify the origin of the shrimp and ask for product certifications to ensure quality and compliance.
