Virgin coconut oil(vcno) is oil derived from first press of fresh and mature coconut meat, without the use of heat. Vcno is composed primarily of medium and short chain fatty acids(mcfa) or triglycerides. Saturated fats found in vcno are good and promote health. Vcno contains lauric acid that is transformed by the body into the disease fighting monolaurin when ingested.
