Founded in 1954, Xiamen Gulong Canned Food Co., Ltd (former name: Xiamen Cannery) is a wholly owned subsidiary and the core of Xiamen Gulong Group Co., Ltd. Located in Gulong Industrial Park €“ the large canned food research and production base equipped with advanced facilities, full varieties of canned products, and beautiful enviroment, its production capacity is 10-12 times that of a big standardized cannery in China. Covering a total land area of 280, 000 m2, the total investment in Gulong Industrial Park amounts to RMB0.3 billion.Gulong has set up a strict and scientific quality control system for both raw and auxiliary materials purchasing and inspection. All coming materials have to be strictly selected and inspected. By choosing the local CIQ approved and registered slaughter houses as its appointed regular suppliers, and sending resident inspectors to supervise the raising and processing of pigs, Gulong controls the quality of pork meat and ensures the reliability of its source. Furthermore, Gulong ensures that the pork meat is coming from those slaughter houses with all necessary state licenses including Sanitary License, Animal Epidemic Prevention Certificate and Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Registry Certificate. In the meantime, Gulong has established a long-acting supplier control system through a dynamic managament system on the qualified suppliers by a regular supplier audit system. Other ingredients such as soy bean paste and soy sauce, etc. Are produced and provided by Gulong itself. It sets up a sound and scientific quality control system. In Gulong, a supervising network has been put into place to control the quality from 3 different management levels. It has obtained approval of ISO9001:2000 Quality System, HACCP, IFS and QS (Quality Safety) certification.
