Youngdo Textiles Co., Ltd., the first developer and exporter of velvet fabrics in Korea, which made a technical tie-up with Hasegawa Co., Ltd. of Japan in 1973, now possesses 100% of its own plants capable of a batch production system covering several processes of yarn twisting, finishing and end-product obtaining,, and produces the velvet of 8 million yard a year with 182 rapier looms.
