Današnje Akcionarsko društvo "Planinka" je osnovano 1964. godine kao društveno preduzeće. Od 1999. godine posluje kao Akcionarsko društvo u vlasništvu malih akcionara. U okviru A.D. Planinka posluju fabrika za pakovanje prirodne Prolom vode i Specijalna bolnica za rehabilitaciju Prolom Banja sa 3 profitna centra: Prolom Banja, Lukovska Banja i Kuršumlijska Banja. A.D. Planinka je takođe staralac Spomenika prirode Đavolja Varoš.

Punionica prirodne Prolom vode se nalazi u Prolom Banji i poseduje najsavremeniju opremu, kao i sertifikate HACCP i ISO 9001, koji omogućavaju izvoz u zemlje Evropske Unije. Sam sistem za eksploataciju i snabdevanje punionice Prolom vodom potpuno je zatvoren i automatizovan, što omogućuje besprekornu zaštitu izvora i očuvanje životne prirode. Kapacitet punionice je l godišnje.

Specijalna bolnica za rehabilitaciju Prolom Banja je formirana 2009. godine, kao "ćerka firma" matične kompanije Planinka. Sastoji se od Profitnih centara Prolom Banja, Lukovska Banja i Kuršumlijska Banja.
