Dilmah is a genuinely ethical, producer-grown tea company. Legendary teamaker Merrill J. Fernando disrupted the colonial tea trade when he founded Dilmah in 1985 with a mission to Make The World A Better Tea. As the best-known Sri Lankan brand enjoyed in over 100 countries, Dilmah has a variety of teas, infusions and extracts from wellness to speciality to luxury collections, and most recently launched Dilmah Ceylon Cinnamon. Dilmah hosts several tea-inspired epicurean events, which showcase the versality and creativity of tea, as well as the world’s first Dilmah School of Tea. Numerous awards of international recognition have been bestowed on the founder and the company, including the Business for Peace Award to Merrill J. Fernando in 2015. Challenging conventions, the company spends at least 15% of pre-tax profits on environmental and biodiversity conservation initiatives through Dilmah Conservation and helping communities in need through the MJF Charitable Foundation.
